Anne Franciose Perrault was recently featured in a set of concerts by the Chatham Chorale and friends, led by Music Director Joe Marchio. Performances took place on Saturday, June 11 at 2:00 and 5:00 pm, and Sunday, June 12 at 2:00 pm, all at the First Congregational Church of Chatham.
Chorale concerts always feature a strong instrumental component. This time it was music for “piano four hands” (two players at one keyboard) performed by Anne Franciose Perrault and Donald Enos, Chorale accompanist and The Wesley Delacy Chair of the Cape Symphony. They will play a sonata by Francis Poulenc and accompany the Chorale on several works.
The concert was superb. In addition to "piano four hands," it featured music by Mack Wilberg, Johannes Brahms, Randall Thompson, Aaron Copland, and Charles Ives. The singers performed selections from West Side Story, music by the great Leonard Bernstein. Joe Mongelli also presented a beautiful arrangement from Gershwin's Porgy and Bess on flugelhorn.

On Sunday, June 26, at 3 pm, Anne will play L’isle Joyous" (Pilgrimage to Cythera) by Debussy in a concert of celebration at St. Christopher's Church as the Chatham Music Club returns to live performance. This wonderful work was inspired by Watteau's painting of the voyage to the mythical Island of Cythera.
